Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions I receive about therapy.

If you don’t see your question answered below, feel free to reach out— I’m happy to help.

  • Choosing the right therapist is a personal decision, and I want that process to feel comfortable and clear. I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation so we can discuss your goals, what you’re looking for in therapy, and whether my approach feels like the right fit. During this call, I’ll share how I can help and answer any questions you may have. If it doesn’t feel like a match, I’ll gladly provide referrals or resources that better suit your needs.

  • I believe in transparent pricing so you always know what to expect.

    My current self-pay rates are:

    • Initial Intake Session (60 minutes): $200

    • Follow-Up Session (60 minutes): $175

    • Extended Session (90 minutes): $265

I accept Aetna and UnitedHealthcare insurance plans. For all other carriers, I am an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may request a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement.

  • It’s simple! Click the “Schedule a Consultation” button to book your free 30-minute call. During that conversation, we’ll discuss your goals, therapy options, and next steps to begin your healing journey.

  • Your first session is a 60 minute intake appointment focused on understanding your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to guide our work moving forward.

  • I currently offer limited in-person availability in Jacksonville, Florida, and online therapy for clients located in Florida and Wyoming. EMDR Intensives are available both in-person (based on availability) and online, using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • Yes. I provide online therapy for clients in Florida and Wyoming, offering Talk Therapy, IFS (Parts Work), EMDR, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) integration through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms (SimplePractice and RemoteEMDR).

Before each appointment, you’ll receive a private link that takes you directly into session. You can join from nearly any device (computer, tablet, or phone).

When we do EMDR online, you’ll have access to the same options for bilateral stimulation as you would in person: visual movement on your screen or audio tones through headphones. These tools make virtual EMDR just as safe, structured, and effective as in-office work.

I’m deeply committed to making therapy accessible and effective, wherever you are. During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was among the EMDR clinicians who adapted trauma work to the virtual setting. That experience reinforced something I still believe today—healing can happen anywhere when therapy is intentional, connected, and attuned to your needs.

  • Every person’s healing process is unique. Some clients find what they need in a few months, while others prefer ongoing support. Together, we’ll regularly evaluate your progress and tailor the frequency of sessions to your goals.

  • Yes. While many clients prefer ongoing weekly therapy, I also offer single sessions for focused support, preparation before an event, or integration work following an intensive.

  • I currently accept Aetna and UnitedHealthcare insurance plans. For all other carriers, I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement by submitting a superbill (a detailed receipt) to your insurance company.

If you’d like to confirm your coverage, contact your insurance provider and ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

    • What percentage is reimbursed after meeting my deductible?

    • What is the allowable rate for CPT codes 90791 (intake) and 90837 (individual therapy)?

  • Weekly Therapy: Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, will be charged the full session fee.

EMDR Intensives: A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your EMDR Intensive date. The remaining 50% is due on the first day of your intensive, before we begin. This ensures your reserved time is fully dedicated to you and allows for the preparation that goes into designing a personalized intensive experience.

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 7 days’ notice so your deposit can be applied to a future date.

  • Work-life balance is an important part of healthy therapy for both clients and clinicians. For non-emergency matters you may leave a message by phone or email and I will get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 36 hrs). If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to your nearest emergency department.
