EMDR Intensives
Deep healing done differently.
EMDR intensives available in Florida and online across Wyoming.
Sometimes, you need more time to truly move forward.
OR
Healing isn’t linear— and it doesn’t always fit neatly into a weekly session.
EMDR Intensives offer a dedicated space to focus deeply on your healing—without the interruptions or limitations of weekly sessions.
Whether you’re processing trauma that won’t release, navigating patterns that keep resurfacing, or simply ready to feel lighter and more at peace, intensives create the momentum for meaningful change.
In this immersive format, you have the time and support to do the deeper work your system has been asking for—all within a contained, restorative environment designed for transformation.
Maybe you’re noticing…
You’ve done the work, but something still feels unfinished.
Perhaps therapy has helped, yet you find yourself circling the same themes, never quite reaching the deeper layers that need attention.
Maybe you leave sessions feeling opened up but not settled—or you simply don’t have the time or emotional space to start and stop week after week.
You might be…
Ready to go beyond surface-level insight into real, embodied change.
Wanting longer sessions that let you stay with the process instead of rushing to close it.
A busy professional, parent, or caregiver craving a flexible format that fits your life.
A high-achiever who looks composed on the outside but still feels disconnected or “not enough” inside.
Aware there’s trauma or unfinished healing that deserves your full attention.
EMDR Intensives offer a focused, retreat-style approach to therapy—one that honors both your time and your nervous system. You’ll have the space to go deeper, the safety to process fully, and the structure to experience lasting change in a condensed, intentional way.
There are moments when you need uninterrupted time to let the healing unfold.
The Process
-
We’ll start with a short conversation to see if this process feels right for you and if I’m the right person to guide you through it. During our call, we’ll:
Get to know each other and talk about what you’re hoping to heal or shift.
Discuss how EMDR Intensives work and what you can expect.
Explore whether an intensive is the best next step for you.
If it’s not the right fit, I’ll gladly recommend next steps or referrals that align with your needs.
-
If we decide to move forward, we’ll meet for a longer session to prepare your system for the deeper work ahead. This session helps us:
Explore your history and clarify your goals for the intensive.
Identify the memories, triggers, or patterns you’d like to target.
Strengthen internal resources and grounding skills to support safety during reprocessing.
You’ll also receive an EMDR Preparation Guide to help you reflect on your goals and prepare for the upcoming session.
-
This is where we do the deep, focused work. Each intensive is customized to your needs and pacing, with built-in breaks and grounding exercises throughout.

Common Questions About EMDR Intensives
-
Weekly therapy offers steady progress over time, while intensives condense several sessions into one or two focused days. This extended time allows for deeper processing, fewer interruptions, and faster relief—ideal when you’re ready to make significant movement in a shorter period.
-
Your EMDR Intensive is designed to be a calm, focused, and deeply supportive experience. We’ll begin with a brief check-in and grounding exercise before moving into the EMDR reprocessing work. You’ll have built-in breaks throughout the day to help your system rest and integrate as we go.
A wholesome lunch and light snacks are provided during in-person intensives so you can stay nourished and comfortable. Please let me know about any dietary needs or preferences in advance.
General outline of the day:
Morning: Check-in, grounding, and EMDR processing
Midday: Lunch and brief rest period
Afternoon: Continued EMDR processing, integration, and closure
You’ll leave with time to rest, reflect, and integrate before resuming your regular routine.
-
Intensives are structured to keep you safe, grounded, and supported throughout. We spend time preparing your nervous system before any deep work begins, and there are regular breaks built in for rest and regulation. You’ll always move at your own pace.
-
Many clients report relief and increased clarity right after their intensive. For others, the changes unfold more gradually as their system continues to integrate the work over the following days and weeks. Either way, the healing continues long after the session ends.
-
Results vary depending on your goals and history, but clients often experience a reduction in emotional reactivity, clearer thinking, and more self-compassion. You may notice feeling calmer, more confident, and more in control of your responses rather than ruled by old patterns.
-
We’ll meet for a 90 minute post-intensive session about a week later to process insights, reinforce changes, and discuss ongoing support if needed. You may also choose to continue with your current therapist or return for another intensive later.
-
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your EMDR Intensive date. The remaining 50% is due on the first day of your intensive, before we begin. This ensures your reserved time is fully dedicated to you and allows for the preparation that goes into designing a personalized intensive experience.
If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 7 days’ notice so your deposit can be applied to a future date.
